TM Speech Project#3: Pages That Change One’s Life

Life is full of possibilities and surprises. There are things that come when you least expect it, when you travelled the most and with the advent of information technology, change will come even when you stayed at home. Thanks to the Internet, just a tap of fingertips into the keyboard and click of a mouse, you can now do anything such as shopping, ordering foods, watching movies, paying bills and most of all finding your perfect match.

This afternoon, you will hear amazing online love stories and pages that change someones life. Who knows after hearing this speech you might probably return on to your PC and search for this pages.

A friend of mine named Jac always dreamed of having a foreigner husband. She wanted someone with different blood and a baby with different breed. In order to fulfill her dream, she done something she never did before like registering on a dating sites, chatting using yahoo messenger and talking to people who have succeeded in having online friends. She always believe that everything will happen in God's perfect time, and it was.

Who would have thought that by browsing Asianeuro.com she got her perfect match? A Belgian named Tomas. Tomas had been her chat mate for 6 months. It was September 2008 when Tomas visited the Philippines, after two weeks of staying here, they decided to have a civil wedding before Thomas went back to Belgium and a church wedding on February of the later year. It's a dream come true for Jac. Now they were already residing in Belgium and have a 8-months half Filipino/half Belgian son.

Our second story of love is about achieving something and never ever give up. Fil is serious in having friends in the net and he is also using Yahoo messenger. The friendship of Fil does not stop there, once he had known a friend, he not only send an email but also a handwritten letter via courier to show his to show his sincerity to a person. Then by using MocoSpace.com, he meet Dale, after a year of communication, Dale finally visited the Philippines. Dale never fails to visit here once a year. When Dale was here, I once asked him of how many children he like. His replied, "I cannot see myself getting married, I am certainly happy of the person I am with right now, and then he smiled and turned to Fil. Although couple of months ago, Dale passed away because of the complications from the operations in his intestines, he left something for file. An insurance policy that will be used by Fil in order for him to finish his studies. This speech is actually dedicated to him. See, that's the magic that Internet can do.

In conclusion, Asianeuro.com, MocoSpace and Yahoo messenger are some of the pages that truly changed someone’s life. There still more if you choose too. And as a final words… Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek.

Someone you pass on the street may already be the love of your life

Thank you and Have a good day!
