Shooting 101

During our team Building last March 20, 2010. Although it was a day that should be dedicated for our swimming and bonding moment, the plan was not pursued because something happened. Little did we know that the place we rented was also the place where the TV sitcom "Lokomokohigh" will be shooting.

It was as early as 6am when I got up from bed while my colleague still sleeping because of the overnight videoke and drinking sessions. Sierra Madre is one of the great place to relax which is a few hours drive from Manila. Although the planned swimming was not pursued, I was fortunate to see how shooting a film works. I had the opportunity to see all the shooting equipments, the staffs, cameraman, director and to the artist like Empoy, Tuesday Vargas, Luningning, Milagring of Wowowee etc.

Here are some photos on how shooting works

TV 5 van, where some of the casts and crew service... I was in shocked when I noticed that a lot of equipments and people needed to finish an episode

Stage set up - this is where all videos, cameras, monitor and other technical stuffs are located. This is also the area where the director go when a certain scene is finished

This is the place where the director/editor monitor the scene. A lot of people worked just to setup this area.

Lapel microphones that is used by the artist. The guy in the picture was the one who is labeling and testing microphones and also changing batteries.

All camera man are now setting up the camera at the pool side

When camera setup was done

The director is starting to instruct what to do
At first, it is very interesting... you will surely love it...
Take 1!

But after a while, you will get bored. Because it needs a number of takes to perfect a certain scene. I admired the whole staff for being so patient

Take to nth power!

Swimming pool shoot!

The finale:

A mixed singing and dancing at the pool... timely for summer.

At last! after hours of act, its all done and over....
