It's zero-fare! And I am in Ninoy Aquino International Airport III again...

Travel date: June 29 to August 1, 2010 and I am about to travel with two companions.
Planned Destinations: Manila-Dumaguete-Dipolog
Round Trip ticket price per person: P92.00

Unfortunately, 2 weeks before the travel date, my two friends which is supposed to be my companions for the trip informed that they will not be able to be with me because of so many errands at work :-( I have to think... think... think.

Should I go or not?

But then, everything was already set... my schedules, filed leaves, clothes, bags are packed and ready to go. It's just my mind who says... think twice. Finally, I ended up with the decision... I should go and shouldn't miss this experience.

I was so excited, I contacted my Dumaguete friends and colleagues, that I will be there. They offered to pick me up at the airport. At around 12 PM, I left the office and go to NAIA III, feeling proud of myself, trying to be calm... I know I can do it alone.

Check-in time... 5J627 bound to Dumaguete
The plane is ready... in a few hours, I'll be in Dumaguete :-)

Here's my seat... ready to fly again. Inhale-exhale :-)

The seat was so calm until after around 25 minutes of travel in the air, I felt that we were driving in a rocky road and travelling in a roller coaster and ferries wheel ride. When the plane flies higher after a while it goes down. then left to right.
With that sequence of event, I can hear sound of the baby crying. I can feel the crump on his stomach because I felt the same way. That time, there is a loud instruction saying "Fasten your seatbelt". I felt it was turning to be the end of the world, my arms in the side of my seat. I almost called all the saint and saying "Oh God! if this is my end please don't forget to take good care of my family and friends, but please let me survive in here"... After minutes of ups and downs, side by side, there was silence. The plane is now in its normal flight. Then the plot announces "We are just testing turbulence". In shock, I told to myself "Huh! testing?". Then another word followed... "we will be arriving at Mactan International Airport". An yes, it's another What? again. "Please bring all your baggage" Oh no? my friends is waiting for me at the Dumaguete airport. But then, we have to go down and leave the plane.

At around 4:23 PM, our bagagges is already coming. Then another announcement came in - "Manila-Dumaguete Flight has been cancelled!" You may talk to any personnel for further details and instructions
The personnel just arrived in-time explaining that the flight has been cancelled and the next flight available is in the morning of the following day. But, they provided a hotel where we can sleep till the next plane arrived, foods for dinner and breakfast and also one free voucher 1-way travel to any domestic destinations which is valid for 6 months. Ummmm... not too bad
While on que, I started contacting friends who are waiting at the Dumaguete Airport, telling them the stories and saying sorry for what happened. So thankful that they were so understanding. The last person I called was my closest friend Sheng, then an idea popped in her mind, why don't you try travelling Mindanao -- Davao or CDO? There are better and more beautiful place there than Dipolog. I'll help you find itineraries. At that very moment, I changed my mind. And since I am travelling alone. I decided to go alone to Davao, and yes the personnel allowed my decision :-)

After getting the papers and the schedule of my flight. We proceeded to the hotel that the airline provided.

It was the first time that I bring my laptop with me. Thank God it is very useful in finding my itinerary for the unplanned trip. Thanks to all blogs and forums I read, I feel nervous for my next destination, but I think I can conquer it.

Chilling out at night since I can't sleep. Excited for the next adventure

It's another day... and I am ready to conquer the world again. Breakfast for a long journey
